I felt a little sentimental on the day she came to show me her ring. I wasn't shocked. She's been dating Ryan since high school. And they are perfect together. But I kept thinking, is she really this old? How can it be?
But all of the mushy big sister feelings have been overtaken by Ashley's happiness. She is plain giddy. (I mean, really, look at the smile on her face. Its huge!) I love to see her so happy. And her happiness is contagious. My other sister, Erica and I are happily becoming overwhelmed with wedding plans. The big day is May 29. I can almost guarantee this is not the last wedding story you will hear.
By the way, Ryan (the groom to be) gets major style points for his proposal. As you see in the picture, he saved their movie ticket stubs from various dates. He used those tickets to "pop the question" or in this case, spell the question. The question mark was finished with a little box holding a diamond ring. How awesome is that?! That's the stuff movie are made of.
Anyway, here's to a long happy life for Ryan and Ashley.

Gosh Heather, when I saw the title of your post, I thought trey was saying he was getting a brother. I couldn't click on your link fast enough and then my stupid computer froze. I was freaking out!! I HATE dial-up. anyway congrats to them and give a lil warning next time. WHEW!! I think my heart rate is back to normal now. Sigh
