Trey (and Kayelynn's) new swing set

After many days of work, the swing set is finally done! Trey tested it out and it met his approval (which is good because there was no way we were going to disassemble it and take it back!) He really likes his 'club house' which includes his own telescope and steering wheel. He also likes the glider which he calls the "giddy up horsey". I just hope it keeps him entertained this summer (and the next, and the next...)

Our swing set was given to me on our 2nd wedding anniversary whe Drew was about to turn 2. It has a sandbox under the 'clubhouse' and it has been the best babysitting investmment we have EVER made. Hours of play has been spent on that set. Neices, nephews and neighbor kids alike have spent their fair share of summer, spring, fall and yes even snowy winters on that set and in the sand. We have Myrtle beach sand and Florida sand and Kentucky lake sand in our box. Maybe even other near by lakes too, I cant remember. My husband entended the swing set by adding an extra long "arm" on it and put my three seater porch swing on it with a tin roof over it to protect me from sun, rain and bird poop. I love it. Couldnt imagine life without in. One thing he did to help kids get up is the steps arent as steep and he added a hand rail. Several adults have been up there and they all love the handrail. The kids take the portable DVD player out and watch movies up there, read, color, or just veg out. They want to extend it and make it bigger. They want to put a crib mattress that we have in the basement up there for a bed and inclose the 'new addition' as a bedroom. But glenn says no. Just in case we move and build on our farm (yeah, like that will ever happen). Feel your pain on the building thing. Yeah, at 1st I was agianst it, but now Im ready and hes not. go figure. Need to go, talk to ya later

Yes, Trey saved his birthday money, christmas money, all other holiday money and pennies from everywhere to help buy his swingset. I think he likes it even more because of that.
